The thought of doing a boudoir session can be very scary… But it doesn’t have to be. Over the years, I’ve talked with many women right before their session and always seem to answer the same questions. I thought I would jot down the most famous 10 questions I get asked. Are my photos private?
Due to the intimate nature of boudoir photography, not everyone is comfortable with the idea of their photos being shared with the general public, and that’s okay. Each photo in my portfolio has been released by the model, in writing. This means that they liked their photos so much, they wanted to share them with the world! If this is the case for you, wonderful! If not, you have no need to fear; your photos will remain private unless released in writing.
What should I wear?
This is largely up to you — the wonderful thing about boudoir is it’s highly customizable and there’s an outfit out there for everyone. Are you looking to leave more to the imagination? Try an oversized button-down shirt or a silky robe to frame your curves while staying covered. Feeling more adventurous? Lingerie sets, teddies, bodysuits, and sexy shapewear can offer options for all body types and tastes. Dress them up with accessories like high heels, boots, jewelry, feathers, gloves, stockings — whatever you like! Make your outfit your own. Do you dare to bare it all? Going full nude, or donning a pair of heels and nothing else, is a very sensuous option and is suitable for all shapes and sizes. There are tons of options available for every comfort level.
Is Hair and Makeup included in the session?
Full hair and makeup is included in each session in order to help you look and feel camera-ready. Our artists know the techniques to use to bring out your best features while camouflaging your insecurities — once you’ve experienced the full hair and makeup treatment, you may wish you could have a team for everyday! That said, if you have a very specific style in mind, or simply want to come into the studio with your hair fully styled, you may come in with your hair done in advance.
Do you retouch my images?
Light retouching is included in each session. We can remove stretch marks, scars, acne, bruising, cellulite, and any random marks. That said, we do not “take of 10 pounds!” with retouching. We work with each client to find poses and wardrobe choices that emphasize your best features and help you look and feel your most beautiful. If there’s something you’re particularly concerned about, let me know during the pre-consultation so that we can work together to minimize it.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we do! We’re happy to work with you to make the experience of your dreams financially accessible. We offer several different payment plan options, so there’s bound to be a plan that suits your needs. Contact us for more information on the types of payment plans available. Bear in mind that no product will be delivered until payment is made in full.
Where should I buy outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! At the studio, we usually recommend the below list because they offer a good array of outfits in all sizes.

What products do you offer?
We offer an array of heirlooms to help you display and remember your favorite photos. Perhaps you’re looking for an album to display your favorite photos. We offer premium albums in a variety of dimensions and image quantities, so there’s an option for every style and budget. If you’re looking to print a favorite image (or three!) to hang on a bedroom or studio wall? We offer aluminum printed images that produces radiant, archival-quality prints that are both weather- and scratch-resistant, ensuring they’ll last for many years to come. In addition to the services discussed above, we also offer a variety of add-ons for your convenience. We’re happy to discuss all of these options at your consultation or heirloom ordering session.
Where would our session take place?
Our studio in Chester Springs, PA. Located in a vibrant portion of the city, our studio offers the comforts of a homey atmosphere while also being located near plenty of food, shopping, and entertainment options. This means you’ll be able to pamper yourself while waiting for your final images without leaving the immediate area and allows you to make a full day of your boudoir experience. We also offer session options at your home or remote location that works for you.
I’m not a model.. Can I really do this?
For starters, about 95% of the women I work with aren’t models. They’re regular women just like you from all backgrounds and lifestyles, of all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages. These women are wives, mothers, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers, women who didn’t know how to pose or even set their facial expressions when they walked into the studio. They left feeling confident and empowered, and so will you! We’re here to guide you every step of the way and help you look and feel your best. Boudoir is not exclusive to Victoria’s Secret model-types. It’s accessible to everyone, at every size. Sexy is a one-size-fits-all, and anyone can participate in boudoir.
